Corning Reports 44% Q3 Growth in Optical Communications Sales

Corning's Oct. 27 results put third-quarter 2026 Optical Communications sales at $2.38 billion, 44% above the year-earlier quarter. Enterprise Networks sales rose 84%, while the company said sales of products serving generative-AI applications more than doubled. Corning's $5.08 billion group core-sales figure is a non-GAAP measure and should not be confused with reported GAAP net sales.

GLOBAL IMAGING BRIEF

Why it matters

Analysis: The reported growth indicates stronger demand for optical connectivity in data-center networks. It does not by itself establish future capacity, margins or market-wide growth; buyers should examine lead times and product-specific availability.
