GLOBAL IMAGING BRIEF
Why it matters
Analysis: Virtual inspection setup can expose field-of-view, lighting and algorithm risks earlier, provided teams later correlate the model with real optics, sensor noise and production variation.
In an Oct. 27 preview, MVTec said it will demonstrate at SPS in Nuremberg on Nov. 24-26 how a simulated camera, lens, lighting and test object feed a virtual image into HALCON. The demonstration, developed with machineering, is intended to show how parameter changes affect an inspection workflow before hardware is built. This is an announced trade-show demonstration, not independently measured production performance.
