GLOBAL IMAGING BRIEF
Why it matters
The multidisciplinary program may inform future sensing through turbulence and scattering. Practical performance and transfer to deployable systems remain to be demonstrated.
UCF said on October 13 that a five-year, $19.2m Army Research Office program will study light propagation and control in complex environments. The research combines coherent sensing, computational imaging, inverse methods, adaptive optics and programmable photonics. This is a research award, not a fielded imaging product.
